Hong attended MagIC workshop at Scripps Institute of Oceanography, UCSD.

He presented his work on field dependence of magnetic susceptibility on submarine basalts.

Hong served as a volunteer judge at the 7th Golden Gate Science Olympiad held at UC Berkeley. He was serving the environmental chemistry competition.

Hong visited the Institute of Rock Magnetism at University of Minnesota as a visiting student fellow. He was awarded the opportunity to study the field dependence of susceptibility of submarine basalts.

Hong competed in CRAG 2023 (Climbers Rage Against Gravity) at Stanford Climbing Wall and got 3rd place in the recreational group!

Long-dry Lake Lagunita finally has water again due to the recent heavy rainfall. The Stanford dining hall lakeside is named after this pseudo-lake.
